Who you are

Do you want to be a part of creating a new IKEA? We are looking for a Kitchen Production Team Leader for our new city store in Copenhagen.

IKEA Copenhagen will be IKEA Denmark’s first city store and one of three Customer Meeting Points in the greater Copenhagen area, where we will bring IKEA closer to many people. With the new IKEA Copenhagen city store, our aim is to create a convenient omnichannel customer experience.

The store will offer a selected range of Home Furnishing accessories and small furniture items for immediate takeaway, and through strong inspiration, we will show the width of our home furnishing offer that our customers can order with relevant services.


As our new Kitchen Production Team Leader, we imagine that you are passionate about cooking food and that you are motivated by developing people. You work to deliver the best food experience for both our guests in the restaurant and for all your colleagues who eat daily in our canteen.

We imagine that you:
• Have several years of experience as a manager and therefore manage to take the lead
• Have experience in the restaurant/kitchen industry
• Can set clear expectations and follow up on your goals and strategies
• Have a coachable behavior that makes you give concrete, fair, and not least timely feedback, which you use to develop your employees

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and production in IKEA's restaurant and staff canteen. Here you will have plenty of opportunity to show your knowledge and creative skills in the field of cooking in our staff canteen - both with a view to sustainability, versatility, and health, but also the financial part of running a healthy business.

You must therefore work with:
• Visible management, where you take the lead with a proactive and service-oriented approach to daily operations.
• Ensure that all policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to. Including ensuring self-control and hygiene, which meets the high standard that IKEA has set.
• Ensure the development of competencies in your employees.
• Holding care, development, pay, and performance interviews.
• Hiring new employees.
• Handling operational challenges, cleaning, optimization of work processes, daily follow-up of the employees, and various administrative tasks.

• This position is for an average of 37 hours pr. week on an individual contract.
• Your working time will vary based on the business need, but with large flexibility within the working week. You will have both evening and weekend work.
• Salary within IKEA’s salary policy is based on your competencies and includes pension.

• Start date 1st of April 2023.
