Would you like to be In-store Logistic Manager in IKEA Delft?


The IKEA Delft store has always been a bit different, and has played different roles.
It has worked as part of the IKEA Concept Center, the global hub and source of know-how. It has been a pilot store, testing out ideas developed here and around the rest of the IKEA world. And most recently it took on the new challenge to become the first IKEA REFERENCE STORE. IKEA REFERENCE STORES support and inspire IKEA retailers and customer meeting points to implement the IKEA Concept in the best way. Want to know more about IKEA REFERENCE STORES.

Right now, the IKEA Delft is transforming in an omnichannel retailer in its market. This will be the main assignment for the next few years.

The IKEA Delft store is the only store owned by Inter-IKEA Systems B.V.

Who you are

As an In-store Logistics manager, you are an operational and analytical thinker with a clear customer focus. You have a commercial mindset and on top of that you:

  • You have at least 5 years of managerial experience preferably in logistics or supply chain.
  • You have experience in leading big teams of leaders and coworkers, gained in a retail or supply chain and backed by the skills to inspire, motivate and develop a strong team spirit.
  • You are able to set and implement action plans, budgets and follow up on goals.
  • Ability to actively use the IKEA concept in a multichannel environment to build and improve competence within the Unit.
  • Ability to lead and coach based on performing and delivering while learning and developing.
  • Capability to build trust and communicate in a clear and targeted way.
  • Natural ability to respect and value individual differences.

Your responsibilities
As an In-Store Logistics manager you live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach goals for the IKEA Delft Store. You also ensure that the store Logistics department works in compliance with the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal IKEA regulations and local legislation relating to health, safety and security and the environment.

You will lead the In-Store Logistics department and together with your Commercial Team you will ensure the highest goods availability for customers at all times at the lowest possible cost. You actively analyses and act on the results of the IKEA Customer Satisfaction Survey, audits and commercial reviews.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Creating the store’s business plan based on global and national priorities, and local market needs together with your colleagues as a member of the store management group.
  • Developing and taking the part in the successful implementation of IKEA Delft Market Approach in the fast changing omnichannel reality.
  • Using strategic directions and business plan goals to develop and implement a clear logistics plan for your store with your logistics team. You ensure this plan is clearly understood by your team and that they know how they can actively contribute to achieving its goals.
  • Sharing your specialist know-how with your commercial team partners and other functions, such as ordering, space and capacity planning, physical goods flow, supporting product change activities and replenishing sales spaces in a cost-efficient way in order to secure an exciting and inspiring customer shopping experience.
  • Empowering your team by delegating responsibility to help them grow and develop according to their individual ability and experience.
