We are in the middle of creating a new IKEA, where one of the focus areas is to become more accessible for the many people, moving to city center locations. As Construction Project manager you will have the opportunity to lead all construction aspects of both existing and new establishments, major re-builds in existing units and other related projects. As a person you are diplomatic and communicative and thrive when you get to build strong and trustful relations with the aim of delivering results. In addition, we believe that you have:
• Academic degree in engineering or equivalent working experience. • Minimum 8 years of experience in from complex construction projects. • Previous experience of procurement processes and contract negotiations. • Previous experience of construction management on site, including business risks, cost control, timeline handling, permission processes, construction HSE, property safety, quality management and contracts and legal issues.
This position is placed in Malmö, Sweden but will involve a lot of travelling within Sweden especially Stockholm. You will report to the Construction Manager for Cluster Europe North.
Amongst many tasks you will: • Lead all construction aspects of a specific building project from start to finish to secure the delivery of a property solution that meet the needs of the business and the many people. • Secure that project budget estimates and time schedules are in place for input to investment approval purposes. • Secure that procurement, contractors, permits, budgets, and cost follow up are in place for the project. • Manage the detailed architectural and engineering design of the project in accordance with Swedish legislations, Ingka standards, manuals, and guidelines. • Lead and ensure that external partners understand all, guidelines and initiatives issued by Group Real Estate.
