Job description
  • You actively coach your shopkeepers to ensure the shop is in excellent shape as new and fully and efficiently stocked with the four merchandising basics in place at all times and that the IKEA product range is presented in ways that inspire and satisfy customers.
  • You actively promote cross HFB/cross functional ways of working and ensure your team has all the correct knowledge about the product range, IKEA services, local insights, SWOT analysis and knowledge of life at home so that they can share this with IKEA customers to improve their overall shopping experience and use this information/insight to influence Commercial Team partners in their sales briefs and daily work.
  • By demonstrating a strong understanding of retailing in an omni-channel environment you help your teams to understand the different IKEA sales/communication channels and IKEA know -how in order to make the best
  • commercial use of this information for different customers across the various channels during their in-store experience.
  • You analyse your businesses and devise detail actions plans for the Store Sales Management that are followed up regularly and aligned with the overall goals of your unit. Continually improving the plans and execution.
  • You support your shopkeeper by sharing proven solutions and developing good examples.
  • By working actively with the One Business Calendar you support Shopkeepers in selling top-selling
  • products, prioritised products (e.g. overstock/övertag) and IKEA service products in order to maximise sales and long-term profitability.
  • You coach shopkeepers on commercial opportunities; changing availability of products (overstock and out of stock) and customer feedback (10 most asked questions) by co-developing action plans to improve all results.
  • You act as the liaison to Sales Leaders in SO for active competition monitoring through your teams and take appropriate action when necessary (which you communicate to your matrix partner in the Service Office).
  • You develop your team and its individual members and ensure you have a succession in place.
  • You actively promote the IKEA social and environmental commitment and work with your team to understand how, together, you can contribute to sustainability for our customers and your organisation.

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree and Above.

Previous experience of customer-oriented services or retail.

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience of managing and developing a team, preferably in retail environment.

An interest in home furnishing.

English Language – very good level.

5 Years Experience Minimum
