About the job

Reporting to the Shopping Experience Manager & Team Leader, you will be the liaison officer to provide a positive and joyful shopping experience that creates trust in the IKEA Brand for all IKEA visitors and customers.

Your assignment

  • Ensure IKEA Tampines Store is a friendly, safe and secure environment for all IKEA visitors and customers.
  • Understanding and contributing to the department’s action plans and taking ownership on your part for deliverables.
  • Being knowledgeable around customer shopping experience and the daily checklists to improve on the service delivery.
  • Being responsible for the children’ safety and cleanliness in Smaland, and amenities such as 1st Aid Room, Nursing Room etc
  • Plan, co-ordinate and follow up on the IKEA Family activities and Children Birthday Parties in the store.
  • Handling professionally all customers’ queries or complaints, and deliver service improvements to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • You will record information, handle paper works and compile statistics, general housekeeping and other duties related to the job.
  • You will be cross-trained to check out and easy buying functions within customer relations and support these functions when required.


Your profile

  • You have minimum 3 years of experience working in a fast paced customer serviced oriented environment
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills with passion for children and people
  • You are a committed and motivated team player who is also able to work independently
  • You are able to cope with stress and able to provide solutions for customers and operational issues
  • You have basic knowledge of PC, skilled at multi-tasking and enjoy hands on operations role
  • You are able to commit to working both AM & PM shifts during store operating hours, inclusive of both weekends and PH
