We are looking for a passionate and motivated Expansion Project Leader, who likes working in an everchanging multi-dimensional environment. As Expansion Project leader, you will be responsible for the realisation of the project objectives according to the specific project brief of one or several Establishment Projects. You will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the way of working in Establishment.
• You have proven strong project and cost management skills and you know how to lead and coordinate people. • You are able to manage a high degree of uncertainty in a complex context as well as adapting quickly to evolving situations, deciding on priorities, taking decisions and delegating. • You ideally have a retail background and you are used to work with numbers/tools as much as with ideas and strategy plans. You are known for having a strong mindset to pursue commercial opportunities. • You know how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders. • You have a strong knowledge of the IKEA concept, brand objectives, values and you are passionate about creating an IKEA fit for the future. • You have a passion for people’s life at home, and are eager to understand communities, customer behaviors and their dreams and needs in the Swiss market. • You are fluent in English and German (written and spoken). Any other national language is of advantage.
What you'll be doing day to day
• Planning resources, estimating costs, setting and controlling the budget and delivering a project within time, budget and quality. • Defining and sequencing activities in the project, estimating duration, developing the schedule, controlling progress and applying relevant project methodology. • Taking the lead in working across functions within Ingka Group and collaborating with other IKEA units. • Being the primary point of contact for the project, building effective relationships with stakeholders and managing communication flow to them by planning and distributing relevant information at appropriate times and forums. • Working across different functions, leading people in different projects and being responsible for steering group reporting. • Securing that the project is reviewed and evaluated, with learnings documented. • Being responsible for ensuring a proper handover of projects to the line organisation. • Taking the lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values.
