To ensure close cooperation across the People & Culture organization by providing operational support and guidance to Unit P&C Managers in the area as well as delivering high-quality People services to units through centralized operational team.

You know:
• how to manage change processes – set direction, create and manage long-term plans, set budgets and goals, and follow up on KPIs.
• how to implement and master new methods of working, digital systems and processes to improve performance.
• how to plan, attract, grow, deploy, reward and support co-workers & leaders and their careers in IKEA.
• how to anticipate, identify and develop potential successors for key positions in IKEA.
• about different leadership styles (such as interdependent, indirect, situational etc.) and needs as well as appropriate use for different situations.
• how to develop virtual and other collaborative relationships to facilitate current and future objectives.
• how to take action without needing direction from others – ability to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility but also a team-player.
• how to communicate and do all the above in fluent English and German.


To drive People & Culture tactical and operational approach for specific Market Area/city, driving uniformity and scale across units you´ll be:

• developing and implementing a “One People Agenda” according to the tactical approach for the Greater Vienna Area, including expansion.
• networking with stakeholders like Market Manager, Area Manager, Country and local P&C and other functions, across the Greater Vienna Area to proactively monitor and manage people needs of today and the future.
• a Matrix Manager for Unit People & Culture Managers – strongly supporting recruiting and on-boarding of this role.
• responsible for all People & Culture issues escalated beyond Unit P&C Manager – responsible for involving relevant specialists from People & Culture functions as needed e.g. Co-worker relations specialist.
• aligning succession, competence development, onboarding, people planning & recruitment for the Viennese Area in cooperation with Country P&C and other stakeholders.
• supporting and developing a tactically and operationally focused Greater Vienna P&C Team in the units and ensuring the teams are working effectively, collaboratively, and creatively with individuals and other teams throughout the company.
• cooperating with relevant stakeholders at Service Office and Unit level to deliver the highest possible standard of People service delivery and transmitting the Greater Vienna Area needs.

For this fulltime position we offer you a monthly gross salary starting from € 5.000 (on fulltime base with an ALL-IN contractual agreement). We are willing to pay more depending on experience and qualification.
